2026 Scholarship Program
ESSA Bank is committed to the communities and businesses we serve and is a proud supporter of the next generation of business leaders. We invite eligible students to enhance their business education by participating in our annual scholarship contest. Funding is available for up to 10 scholarships, a maximum of one winner from each eligible school, in the amount of $500 each to be used for continuing his/her education in a business-related field.
Eligibility
High School seniors with intentions to further their education at a college or university with a business-related degree are eligible to apply. Student must attend a high school in the ESSA Bank market area. Dependents of ESSA Bank Directors or Officers are not eligible to apply.
Essay Theme
Discuss a business leader you admire and explain how their leadership style inspires your own vision of success and career aspirations.
Essay Requirements
- A minimum of 250 words
- Typed and double-spaced
- Participant name and/or family names should not appear in the essay
- Original, student-written essay without the assistance of AI
Submission Requirements
Each applicant should provide:
- A completed application including a summary of participation in community and school activities.
- One letter of academic recommendation from a present or past educator, and
- One letter of personal recommendation from a non-family member. References may not be bank employees.
- Originally written essay without the assistance of ChatBot/AI technology.

- Complete the following applicant form and turn into your high school’s guidance office along submission requirements by 11:59 p.m. March 16, 2026.

Judging
Essays will be judged by a selection committee on originality, grammar, and how well ideas are expressed. Contributions to both school and community will be considered.
Please Note: Incomplete applications and those students that do not plan to major in a financial and/or appropriate business-related field will not be considered.
Deadlines
Deadlines Applicant form, essay, and letters of recommendation must be received by 11:59 p.m. March 16, 2026. Winners will be announced via Facebook and our website on April 13, 2026.
